Butterfly Services in NYC?

Often I am asked about "butterfly services", it often sounds like this...
Question:  Where can I purchase opened, loose, real butterflies for my wedding, my photoshoot, my store display window, my own butterfly project, my fairy wings, etc.
Answer: Mariposa does provide butterfly services and has for years, we provide spread or papered (closed) butterfly specimens and often offer mixed lots of colorful butterflies for artists, designers, event planners, shop owners, anyone really who needs bugs.

Scarlett Johansson's Butterfly Mural dated 2004 featured in 2013 News articles around the world

Greetings all,

It recently hit the news that the actress Scarlett Johansson sold her LA apartment and one of the photos we get a glimpse (both views of the mural on either side of the photo are reflections) of what she had hanging in her bathroom.   Whats interesting is when she purchased the "Atlantis II" mural from the gallery she called her father to ensure the panels would fit, she informed us it was for her bathroom.  Congrats on the sale, I wonder where the mural hangs now?

Blog Era

The era of the Mariposa blog has begun.  Lets face it, our website is ancient and instead of revamping it (if its not broke dont fix it) We decided to create a blog in which we will post about the latest happenings with the company, what we are doing, thinking about, etc.  So, lets start off with some photos of the last job that we completed which was for a client on the other side of the Hudson.
Two Mariposas panels and one Pen & Ink.  The client was nice enough to show us his amazing 4" square morpho menelaus cube made eleven years ago.

The cube above was created by Marshall Hill in 2002 I believe and being kept out of direct sunlight the butterfly remains flawless.
